Cat Buxton is a change facilitator. A consultant and teacher, she works to connect communities and empower people to affect positive food system change from the ground up. Cat is an effective and enthusiastic presenter, community organizer, project manager, and an advocate for regenerating healthy ecosystems. She offers group presentations, classes, and coaching on soil health, composting, gardening and edible landscaping, farm-to-school, and attaining zero waste goals.
Projects: Private consulting, Thetford Elementary School Garden Program Manager, Upper Valley Apple Corps Coordinator, Hartford Riverwalk Trail Project Manager, Co-Director of Soil4Climate-VT, and founder of the Vermont Healthy Soils Coalition. She is a certified EMG Vermont Master Composter managing three service project compost sites at elementary schools in Thetford, Strafford, and Marlboro. Cat serves on the Board of Directors of the Upper Valley Food Coop, Rural Vermont, and the Soil Carbon Coalition.
